Porter Cable FC350 type 2 had no bumper in the head

I tore down my FC350 type 2 gun. I did not take out the housing in the top of the head. The gun was leaking air out the exhaust. when I took the housing out of the head there was a spring, black metal ring, and that is all. I found a very few parts of plastic. But no bumper at all. From all the schematics I have found there is a bumper plastic in the top of the head. This is crazy. I would think that there would be a lot of broken plastic or something. Its impossible for it to have 99% blown out the top. I am lost here. Anyone see this situation before?

I have rebuilt a few guns now. I have never seen one missing a whole part. the thing is I have seen many rebuild videos where the upper bumper is in small pieces. The fun was firing but would have the driver stay down and the exhaust leak. After pushing it back in it would work for a bit then do it again. I am not sure if by using it the driver smashed the pieces and blew them out or not. It had to have one when I bought it. I bought the parts, bumper, top seal vlv , kit of rubber O rings. That should get me up and running. But it was strange all I found was a few small pieces of white plastic/nylon from the bumper.
