18v to 20v max conversion

I have old 18v Porter Cable tools.  Can I use my old batteries in new tools? I'm looking at a 20v max random orbital sander

  Unfortunately, you can not. 18V batteries are only compatible with 18V tools and 20V batteries only with 20V tools. And there is no PORTER CABLE 18V to 20V adapter available.
